Ascension Tarot
by Asha Hawkesworth

This planet was created in Love and by Love. In the first age, we celebrated the Love that brought us here, and we played in our creation and learned from it. This was the age of Eden, the metaphor for our original time of remembering the Love that brought it all into being. In this age of remembering who we are and why we were here, our emotional selves reflected this knowledge of the greater Oneness, of the greater Love. We lived in harmony.

Although we remembered our Oneness and our connection with All That Is, we also began to delve more deeply into veils of separation. We created a world in which we could pretend to separate even more from each other and from the All That Is. In the second age, we were individual mystics, each remembering and knowing our power, yet perceiving the world differently and developing our own sense of self-as-separate. We created the Ego.

The Garden itself remains the Garden today. She is known as Earth, Gaia, Terra Mater, and many other names. She is the constant: while we have forgotten, she never has. She has sheltered us, fed us, and clothed us. We have been kind to her, and we have been cruel to her. But in truth, we have never left the Garden. She is here, holding her contant Love for us, and the memory of who we are, who we were, and who we will be.

The Ego has allowed us to go more deeply into the dream of separation. It has been wildly successful. We forgot who we are, and we played the game of God Observing Itself: in order to observe itself, God had to create the illusion of more than one--observers and observed. In this world of Ego, we entered a third age. We began to see a world of Lack instead of a world of Abundance. We began to mourn for the things we did not have, instead of enjoying what we did have. We projected these beliefs on the world, causing heartache for ourselves and others. We wanted what others had, and we learned to take it from them. Not remembering the source of our own power, we sought to restore it by taking it from others. We learned the art of warfare.

We got very good at fighting one another. In a world based on duality and separation, we mastered the concepts of "You are not me" and "I can control this world through violence." And in the game of Planet Earth version 3, we have reached the highest possible level. We can kill one another with remarkable efficiency, and we now have the capacity to end the game once and for all. We have lived by the sword, and we can now choose to die by it collectively.

But the ancient knowledge of the first age, and of our soul lives before it, never went away. In the second age, it was still well known and understood. In the third age, much was truly forgotten, by design. Yet spiritual knowledge--the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge--remained, tucked away in monasteries and mystery schools and nurtured by living masters and spirit guides and teachers of many names. This knowledge was the Light of the world, the seed for a new age biding its time.

That time is now. We are entering a new age, the fourth great age of the world. It is a process that is happening now; we are not waiting for one or two "big events" to make it happen. It is already happening. Spirit is moving the world, and we see its effect in the physical world now. Systems are crumbling and changing. The earth is moving and healing. People are hearing the call to heal, or in some cases, they are becoming unbalanced as the higher vibration makes it harder and harder for them to stay mired in the old ways of Ego. Our old systems do not work any more. Don't try to make them. We must reinvent ourselves.

What kind of world do you dream of? What Utopic ideals do you think are unattainable? They are not. If you can dream it, you can create it. Your mind and your emotions combined are your power. Think it, dream it. Believe in it. This is how this world was created. Our creative powers have not changed; only our beliefs about them have.

We are all equal co-creators with God, and everyone's creation impacts the whole. We ignore this at our peril. Do not give away your power to others. Co-create. Do not give your power away to other gods, either: political/religious figures, your boss, your company, your institutions, your money. These things are not your source of power or abundance. Each of us are being called to step into our own power, and we will continue to be challenged to do so.

When we co-create, we take what is ours and respect what is not. Another person's power and choices belong to them. At the same time, however, we must work together to acknowledge the common good. If a creation only benefits some people at the expense of others, then it is not in alignment with All That Is. God's bounty is for everyone, not just a few.

We are being called to awaken, to heal, to remember who we are. As we reconnect with our own Divinity, we open the pathway from the Divine source to our hearts. This is essential. When our hearts are open and when we are connected to Love, then we are in alignment with who we are. Our emotions become clearer. Our thoughts and actions can better reflect this connection. When we feel, think, and act in Love, we create Love. There is nothing else we need to do.

We face many challenges as we level up in our game. We will have to rediscover old knowledge. Some of it has been suppressed, and it will resurface. We will also have to create anew: new communities, new infrastructure, new methods of transportation, new ways of co-existing with Gaia so that the cruelty ends. If you can dream it, you can create it.

In order to do these things, we must look at the things we have been avoiding. Each of us will be challenged to look deeper below the surface. Even those who are awake will have to probe more deeply than they realized. Healing is like an onion: there is always another layer. In order to let go of the things which are not true and the beliefs which no longer serve us, we will realize that the waters we have been sailing on go very deep indeed. Prepare to go diving. As we search the bottom of our sea and discover the old wreckages and the treasure within, we will experience our own personal judgment day, in which we judge for ourselves what things no longer serve us and then let them go.

The process of peeling away our outer layers will reveal the jewel that lies inside each of us. This jewel has always been there, waiting for this moment. It embodies your innocence, your spirit, your joy, and the Love of God that shines in all of us. When we reach this place, we will be children again, open, loving, trusting. And like all children do, we will have to learn our way around this new world that we are creating. We will have to learn new ways to live and communicate. We will have to learn how to live in peace and understand what that looks like. We will have to learn to live the truth of "You are me."

The Garden has always been here, and we now have the opportunity to recognize that and live in it again. The difference is a shift in consciousness: knowing who we are, appreciating what we have and why we're here. Acknowledging that we are not islands; we are part of the main. We are part of the Garden itself.

Raccoon and skunk sharing food

Love is all there is, and Joy is our natural state. Dance with all your might in this Garden. The fourth great age of the world is here now, and it is beautiful. Dance in the light of the new Sun and the new consciousness.

The Inner Child card for this reading is Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. We are all Aladdin, and we all have a magic lamp. This is our power. With it, we can create whatever our heart desires. Polish your lamp, treasure it, and do not give it away. The genie within is always available to do your bidding, and he will do whatever you ask. So be careful what you ask for! Your thoughts and intentions create constantly, so guard your thoughts well and focus only on the things you want to create, and not on the things you don't.

The power animal card for this reading is Raccoon. Raccoon is the protector of the underdog, and he acts generously, assisting and sharing food with others before tending to his own needs. In the new Universal Consciousness, or awareness of our connection and Oneness, we must each serve one another with our generosity and assistance. We can do this in an empowering and respectful way, so that those we help do not become victims or dependents—everyone has something to contribute. But we are our brother's and sister's keeper, and a community only works if everyone's needs are met. That being said, our own needs are also important, and we must tend to these or we will not be able to give to others when we are called to do so. Abundance flows in a continuous, circular river. It must flow into you, and from you, it must flow out again to others, where it will again return to you. This is the natural cycle, and the river is there to nourish everyone.
